The 2024/25 campaign has come to an end, and it promises to be a very busy transfer window for Arsenal. But before that, they will have to bid adieu to some of the players, who are leaving the club. 

Among the four departures that Mikel Arteta confirmed after the last league game, Jorginho is the first one to leave North London. 

The Italian joined the club in 2023 from rivals Chelsea, and while not everyone was amused by his signing, he won them over with his gameplay. He was also a very loved character in the dressing room and therefore it was a very emotional farewell for the Italian international. 

Jorginho posted a long, heartfelt farewell post on his socials on Tuesday, thanking Arsenal and the fans. 

He posted a farewell video on his socials, sharing his highlights with Arsenal. On that post, star defender William Saliba wrote a five-word emotional message. Saliba wrote: “Thank you for everything brother!”

Although he was at North London for only a couple of seasons, he made countless memories. He struggled for injury this season and Arteta dearly missed his control in the middle of the pitch.
